MPAL Programs

Our Boxing program was one of the first programs in 1992, when PAL first began in Manchester. The program has grown and is now open four days a week for everyone and five days a week for the kids who are currently competeing.

The cost is free and guaranteed to make you tired! Come on down and try it out, but be prepared for some hard work. We are open on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2:30-4:30PM for everyone. Friday is open for fighters only during the same hours. We are a sanctioned United States Amatuer Boxing Gym and all of our coaches are Level 1 Certified through USAB.

Lacrosse is our biggest sport and PAL takes great pride in the lacrosse program. Not only did PAL start lacorsse in the City of Manchester, it helped it grow at the high school level too! PAL Sponsored HS lax as a club sport and now, with the help of many, it is a Varsity sport at all three high schools in our city. Log onto www.manchesterpallax.org for additional information.

The JUDO program began in January 2007. It was an instant success as the team went on to win the New Hampshire State Championship in March of 2007, less than three months after starting the program. Sensei Robert Proksa has done an impressive job with the 60 plus youth who have partciipated since the inception of the MPAL/Granite State JUDO Institiute.

The program takes place on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 4:30-6:30 PM. The program is free, however, a $35 annual membership fee has to be paid to the United States JUDO Association and a JUDO uniform will cost an additional $35-75. Fees will be waived if financial hardship occurs, so please do not feel your child cannot participate becasue of a lack of funding.

PAL is happy to sponsor our Velodrome Bicycling Racing program, which takes place during the summer months, at the Londonderry speedway. Coach Tony Eberhardt is a longtime cyclist and Velodrome fanatic who does an outstanding job. Over 40 youth participated during the summer of 2007.
